[Request] Good Netflix horror movies, one that will really scare me and leave an effect.

Directed by Mike Flanagan, The genius behind 'The Haunting of Hill House'. I'd like to recommend Don't Breathe. Exactly like Hush but the mood and cinematography is way way better.

I thought hush was s great concept but found the movie to be boring and not scary at all. Partly because the killer takes his mask off and is kind of dumb.

Omg, thank you so much for recommending The Invitation.

I haven't reached the ending yet but this is already one of my favourites. Slow burn, but the acting is impeccable, and the characters don't infuriate me with dumb choices and words; this is the kind of film that cuts deep and pours salt in, it's a warm sad horror that gets your attention before scaring you and tbh I'm loving it. High praise for this!

I watched it , the monster design was really interesting

I wasn't a huge fan, but that movie has top tier monster design and is worth a watch for that alone.

The first dream sequence of that movie when they stay in the cabin for the night is absolutely fantastic! It felt like a lucid dream where you know this isn't real but you can't quite figure out why, even though looking back it was clearly a dream!

The Ritual is solid as far as Netflix horrors go!

I'm watching 61 horror movies (one each day) from 1 September to Halloween. I can post an imgur link to my list tomorrow if you want. Not many on Netflix, but it might give you some ideas.

I just went ahead and uploaded. There are a handful that aren't really horror and are more just Halloween-relevant, like Donnie Darko. The highlighted ones are just ones I've watched so far.

Oh man. You're Next is such a great movie. Its like Home Alone meets John Wick. Definitely one of my favorites.
